In this case, the Member will be refunded the amounts already paid within 14 days from the sending of the email by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori informing the Member of the unavailability of the relevant service.
ARTICLE 4 – REGISTRATION AND ONLINE PURCHASE PROCEDURE
4.1. The process for a first registration request
4.1.1 Families wishing to enroll their children are invited to visit the School by scheduling an individual appointment or attending an information session, where the Ma Petite Ecole Montessori team presents its operations and answers questions. Registrations are done directly online via the Site.
4.1.2 Enrollment in the educational program provided by the School is mandatory and is conducted digitally as described below:
The Member requests the registration form via email. Upon receipt, they complete the information requested in the admission request form. Unless otherwise specified or in special cases, admission requests are submitted during a specified period indicated on the Site. Furthermore, the deadlines for child admission vary depending on whether it is a first-time request or a re-enrollment.
During the admission request, the Member specifies the school year concerned. They provide information regarding their civil status, family, and professional situation. They also provide information on their child’s health. The Member selects the type of schooling. They also choose the payment method for school fees (bank debits or wire transfers), as well as the frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annually) of these payments.
They select the meal option for their child – school cafeteria or lunchbox, as well as the payment method for it.
The form also gathers the necessary authorizations requested by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori, including: permission for the child to go on foot to the park or a cultural establishment; permission to be photographed within the school context, only for the families’ use; permission to share email addresses with other parents of the School; and permission to be transported to an emergency service if necessary.
Required documents for the admission request:
● A digital portrait photograph of the child ● The birth certificate or a copy of the birth record of the child(ren) ● A medical certificate indicating the validity of the child’s vaccinations ● The payment of application fees (non-refundable and non-deductible from school fees) ● A copy of the learning progress record for admission requests during a school cycle in preschool or elementary school.
The Member is also required to review the General Terms and Conditions and the Internal Regulations, which are also available on the Software Application.
The Member sends the completed form by email. The Member will then proceed with the payment of the application fee of 500 euros, which is non-refundable and non-deductible from the school fees.
4.1.3 The Member receives an email confirming the receipt of the admission request and payment of the application fee.
They are then invited to submit:
● The signed Internal Regulations of the Ma Petite Ecole Montessori School Group.
4.1.4 The admission request for the education provided by the School is only definitively validated, and the child is enrolled when the Member receives an email from Ma Petite Ecole Montessori explicitly confirming the child’s admission and enrollment.
A civil liability insurance certificate must also be submitted at the beginning of the school year.
4.1.5 Cancellation or refusal of admission by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori
Ma Petite Ecole Montessori reserves the right to cancel or refuse any admission request from a User and child enrollment in the following cases:
- If there is a major disagreement regarding the school’s institutional operations or educational project,
- If there is an ongoing dispute related to the payment of a previous service,
- If the User has previously failed to comply with the General Terms and Conditions and/or the Internal Regulations,
- If Ma Petite Ecole Montessori does not receive the chosen means of payment for school fees and options within the specified time following the confirmation email of the child’s admission,
- In case of unpaid fees,
- If the information required to open a Member Account and/or to pay for the subscribed service and/or to perform it is incorrect or unverifiable,
- In the event of limited capacity or insufficient number of enrolled children.
4.1.6 Archiving
The archiving of electronic admission confirmations sent to Members, as well as the General Terms and Conditions and the Internal Regulations signed by the latter, is carried out by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori on a reliable and durable medium. These can be requested by writing to the Admissions Office, whose contact details are provided in Article 7 below, or viewed in the Member’s Account.
4.2. The re-enrollment process
An admission request for a child already enrolled at Ma Petite Ecole Montessori is given priority by the Admissions Office. Within the limits of available spaces, a child starting their schooling in one of the Ma Petite Ecole Montessori School Group’s Schools is guaranteed a spot for the entire preschool cycle, provided that their parents or legal guardians renew the admission each year during the periods and under the conditions defined and communicated to the Members. The re-enrollment period and process are communicated each year via email to families. The re-enrollment process for a child already attending Ma Petite Ecole Montessori is carried out by the Member digitally, just like a first-time request. Except for differing deadlines, the process is conducted in accordance with the provisions of Article 4.1 above.
4.3: Mid-year admission process
Within the limits of available spaces, the Admissions Office may enroll a new child during the school year.
For a child who joins mid-year, the school may implement the following protocol:
- 1 to 4 adaptation days, if possible
- Contact with the child’s previous school,
- The learning progress record.
The admission procedure is conducted digitally by the Member, similar to a first-time request. Apart from the differing timelines, the process follows the provisions of Article 4.1 above. The billing calculation will be adjusted based on the child’s entry date into the School. The month during which the child is welcomed will be billed in full.
ARTICLE 5 – PRICING – PAYMENT TERMS
5.1. The price of the services is listed on the Site and is accessible under the “Prices” section. Prices are indicated per school year. The prices for the services are shown in euros.
5.2. The price paid by the Member is the one in effect on the day the online admission request is submitted. Ma Petite Ecole Montessori reserves the right to modify the price of its services at any time. However, services will be invoiced based on the prices in effect on the day the Member submits their admission request.
5.3 The payment of the application fees is made by the Member via bank transfer.
An invoice is sent to the Member by email.
5.4 Payment of school fees and meal fees
5.4.1 The invoicing of school fees is annual and may be paid by bank transfer, direct debit, or in cash up to the legal limit of 1,000 euros, with any remaining balance to be paid by check. In the event of non-payment of school fees by the due dates listed on the invoice (monthly and/or quarterly schedule), the Management reserves the right to refuse further attendance of the child at the School. Any financial charges resulting from non-payment of the subscribed services will be borne by the Member.
For children admitted mid-year, school fees will be prorated starting from the child’s entry month (any month started is owed in full).
Payment methods:
- Annual, quarterly, or monthly direct debits
- Annual, quarterly, or monthly bank transfers
- Cash payment up to the legal limit of 1,000 euros, with the balance to be paid by check
5.4.2 Meal fees are invoiced annually and are paid as follows. For mid-year admissions, meal fees are calculated from the first day the child eats lunch at school. Payment methods:
- Annual, quarterly, or monthly direct debits
- Annual, quarterly, or monthly bank transfers
- Cash payment up to the legal limit of 1,000 euros, with the balance to be paid by check
5.5 In the case of unpaid fees, the School will contact the Member directly. If necessary, a reminder letter will be sent, followed by a formal notice sent via registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. No new enrollment will be possible until all outstanding school and extracurricular activity fees have been fully paid.
In the event of payment issues, any bank fees will be charged to the Member, and the School reserves the right to recover the outstanding amounts through any legal means. Any fees incurred during reimbursements may also be charged to the Members.
5.6. It is expressly agreed and accepted by the Member that if the School is closed due to circumstances beyond Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s control (including, but not limited to, an epidemic or pandemic), there will be no refund or cancellation of school fees, and educational continuity will be ensured during the closure of the School and/or if the State or local authorities decide to alter the school calendar to allow for the rescheduling of lessons that could not be held.
ARTICLE 6 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION
In accordance with the provisions of Article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the Member has a right of withdrawal under the following conditions:
The Member may exercise their right of withdrawal, without reason or fees, within 14 calendar days from the receipt of the email in which Ma Petite Ecole Montessori confirms acceptance of the admission request and the child’s enrollment in the School.
The right of withdrawal may be exercised from the moment the online admission request is submitted, without waiting for Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s confirmation email. However, the application fees remain due to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori. The Member is informed of this condition when submitting the admission request for their child.
If the 14-day withdrawal period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it will be extended to the next business day. The Member can exercise their right of withdrawal by sending an email clearly stating their intent to withdraw to the following email address: oriane@mapetiteecolemontessori.com.

8.2 The User agrees not to use the content of the Site or any information disclosed to them in a way that infringes the rights of Ma Petite Ecole Montessori or its partners, and to ensure that their use does not constitute counterfeiting or unfair competition.
ARTICLE 9 – DURATION OF SERVICES – CANCELLATION AND TERMINATION CONDITIONS
9.1 The enrollment of a child in the education provided by the School is for a fixed term corresponding to one academic year.
9.2 Ma Petite Ecole Montessori reserves the right to terminate a child’s enrollment during the school year due to unpaid fees or a serious reason occurring during the academic year.
By serious reason, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori refers to any conflicting or litigious situation that has not been resolved between the School and the Member. If the Member or the student disrupts the functioning of the School, defames, or disrespects any member of the educational community, it may result in the termination of the child’s enrollment. Depending on the severity of the situation, the student’s expulsion may occur immediately or, in the best-case scenario, at the end of a period, during school holidays.
9.3 In accordance with Article 6, if a Member cancels their child’s enrollment, the application fees remain payable to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori and are non-refundable once the admission application has been processed.
9.4 If a Member cancels their child’s enrollment after the withdrawal period (14 days) but before the start of the school year, the tuition fees for the first term remain due to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori, except in the following cases:
- The cancellation occurs before May 31 preceding the school year.
- The cancellation is due to a decision by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori.
9.5 If a child leaves the School during the academic year, the Member must inform the School and provide a three-month notice. The full tuition fees corresponding to these three months are due unless the departure:
- Is due to a decision by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori.
In cases where the child is required to leave the School due to a decision by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori, only the tuition fees for the current month and meal fees will be retained, prorated to the number of days the child attended the School.
In all other cases, only the meal fees will be refunded to the Member, prorated to the number of days the child attended the School, provided the Member informs Ma Petite Ecole Montessori at least three months in advance of the child’s planned departure by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt.
9.6 In any case, the Member whose child leaves the School prematurely during the academic year must notify Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s Management by registered mail (RAR), as well as by email to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s headquarters at the following address: oriane@mapetiteecolemontessori.com.
ARTICLE 10 – EFFECTS OF THE TERMINATION OF SUBSCRIBED SERVICES – ACCOUNT CLOSURE
When the subscribed service ends or is terminated for any reason and by either party, access to the Member’s Account will be immediately and automatically deactivated. In the event of Account closure, regardless of the reason, the Member will no longer have access to their Account. Whatever the cause, the Account closure does not entitle the Member to any form of compensation.

Some of these data are then archived with restricted access for an additional period for strictly defined reasons (legal obligations or for evidentiary purposes) and as authorized by law (payment, unresolved disputes, warranties, etc.) or used for statistical purposes after being anonymized. After this archival period, personal data is deleted. However, there are specific cases where the retention period of personal data is shorter.
When a User exercises their rights under personal data protection regulations, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may retain a copy of their identity document for up to 12 months for access and rectification requests and up to 3 years for the exercise of the right to object.
The retention period for cookies is a maximum of 13 months from their placement. Similarly, IP addresses relating to Site visits are retained (after being anonymized) for no longer than 13 months.
Finally, with regard to credit card data, this information is generally deleted once the transaction is completed, meaning once payment has been made. However, deletion may be deferred until the service is rendered, extended, if applicable, by the withdrawal period. In the case of payment by credit card, the card number and expiration date may be retained for evidentiary purposes in case of a potential dispute, in intermediate archives, for the legal retention period of 13 months following the date of debit. This period may be extended to 15 months to account for the possibility of deferred debit cards being used. These data should only be used in case of a dispute over the transaction.
The visual cryptogram data is not stored. When the credit card expires, the data is deleted.
Finally, unless the Member objects, a digital photo of their child will be kept by the School for the duration of the school year and will never be shared with third parties. Additionally, educational activities implemented as part of the curriculum may sometimes involve the use of a camera or video recorder. Children may therefore be photographed or filmed on these occasions. In accordance with the legislation in force concerning image rights, the taking and distribution of these images will only be carried out with the prior and express consent of the Member and will be strictly limited to publication on the secure Site blog, accessible only to families with enrolled children. No commercial use of these images will be made by Ma Petite Ecole Montessori unless the images have been blurred to protect the children’s identity. The retention and distribution of these images will be limited to 12 months. Captions accompanying photos and/or videos will not harm the child’s or the Member’s reputation or privacy. The Member may request at any time that the images on the Site blog be removed and object to any further dissemination by sending an email to the following address: oriane@mapetiteecolemontessori.com.
11.9 User Rights Regarding Personal Data
Subject to the limits provided by applicable regulations, each User has the following rights with regard to their personal data:
Right of access
The User has the right to obtain confirmation from Ma Petite Ecole Montessori as to whether personal data concerning them is being processed, and, if so, to request access to said personal data, including the purposes of the processing and the recipients. However, this right is not absolute, as Ma Petite Ecole Montessori must also consider the rights and freedoms of others.
In this regard, the User may request an electronic copy (for any additional copies, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs).
Before responding to a User’s request, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori is required by law to verify their identity. Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may also ask the User for additional information to respond to their request.
Right to rectification
The User may request the correction of incorrect personal data concerning them and the limitation of processing while this correction is being made. The User may also request that Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s personal data be completed. In such cases, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may request supporting documents.
Right to object
When the collection and processing of personal data are based on the User’s consent (such as newsletter subscriptions or the use of cookies), the User may withdraw their consent at any time.
However, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may refuse the request if it can demonstrate that there are legitimate and compelling reasons for processing personal data that override the User’s interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. According to applicable regulations, the withdrawal of the User’s consent applies only to future processing and does not affect the legality of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Right not to be subject to automated decision-making
Subject to certain limitations, the User has the right to object to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects or significantly affects them in a similar way.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
The User may also request the deletion of their personal data in the following cases:
- Their personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
- They wish to withdraw their consent, on which the processing of their personal data was based, and there is no other legal basis justifying the processing.
- They believe and can demonstrate that their personal data has been unlawfully processed.
- Their personal data must be erased due to a legal obligation.
Alternatively, and within the limits set by law, the User may request the limitation of the processing of their personal data.
Notwithstanding the User’s exercise of their right to erasure or limitation, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori may retain certain personal data when required or authorized by law, when Ma Petite Ecole Montessori has a legitimate reason to do so, or for the establishment or defense of legal claims (such as if Ma Petite Ecole Montessori believes the User has violated the Terms of Service).
Right to restriction of personal data processing
The applicable regulations provide that this right may be invoked in specific cases, including the following:
- When the User disputes the accuracy of their personal data.
- When the User considers and can demonstrate that the processing of their personal data is unlawful but opposes the erasure of their personal data and instead requests the limitation of its processing.
- When Ma Petite Ecole Montessori no longer needs the User’s personal data, but it is still necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
- When the User objects to the processing based on Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s legitimate interest, pending verification of whether Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s legitimate grounds override those of the User.
Right to data portability
The User may, within the limits set by law, request Ma Petite Ecole Montessori to:
- Retrieve, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, the personal data they have provided to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori in an automated manner, and
- Transmit this personal data to another controller without Ma Petite Ecole Montessori opposing it.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If, despite Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s efforts to preserve the confidentiality of the User’s personal data, the User believes their rights have not been respected, they may file a complaint with a supervisory authority.
In France, this is the CNIL (https://www.cnil.fr/fr).
A list of supervisory authorities is available on the European Commission’s website, accessible via the following link: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en.
Right to decide the fate of personal data after death
Finally, the User has the right to decide how their personal data will be handled after their death by adopting general or specific directives. Ma Petite Ecole Montessori agrees to comply with these directives. In the absence of directives, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori recognizes the right of heirs to exercise certain rights, particularly the right of access and the right to object to the processing of the User’s personal data.
11.10 Contact Information
For any questions regarding Ma Petite Ecole Montessori’s personal data protection policy and/or to exercise their rights as described in Article 11.9, the User may contact Ma Petite Ecole Montessori by email or post, sending a letter specifying the right(s) they wish to exercise, along with a copy of an identity document and stating their first and last names and, if applicable, those of their child, to the following email address: oriane@mapetiteecolemontessori.com or Ma Petite Ecole Montessori – 48 rue de Dantzig, 75015 Paris (France).
Ma Petite Ecole Montessori agrees to respond to the User as soon as possible and, in any case, within one month of receiving their request.
If necessary, this period may be extended by two months, depending on the complexity and number of requests submitted to Ma Petite Ecole Montessori. In this case, the User will be informed of the extension and the reasons for the delay.
If the User’s request is submitted electronically, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori will also respond electronically whenever possible, unless the User expressly requests otherwise.
If Ma Petite Ecole Montessori does not comply with the User’s request, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori will provide the reasons, and the User will then have the option to file a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL) and/or seek legal remedies.
11.11 Retention of Data within the European Union
In principle, Ma Petite Ecole Montessori retains User personal data within the European Union.
